Drinking the Geyser

Today, in preparation for Memorial Day weekend, the executive secretary, most of the project managers, and the entire estimating staff have taken the day off. Fine.

I have been fielding calls all morning that would normally go to specific PM’s. I feel like I’m directing traffic at 60 mph. Naturally, with the frenetic pace of the morning, I have been given an $200,000 estimate-chunk two estimate-chunks of about $950,000three estimate-chunks for about $1.2 million for a 3 million dollar job, uncoded, and must have it refined and in place before the next chunk of the job comes to me…later this morning. Then the next, and the next.

Okay, I can handle that. I walk on water regularly.

RESOLUTION: I will write today at lunch, as usual.
