Stupid Horizon

Two weeks ago, I decided to quit and try to make a living in fewer hours.

That didn’t quite go as it could have.  Turns out that there are various bits of paper in place that will keep me from doing that.  So, I can quit and scramble for less money, or I can stay, which has not been doing a stellar job of making me happy.

We’re compromising, and I’m staying but modifying my duties.  If that’s enough, great.  Just in case, I am making daily steps to cut expenses, expand things we can do for money, and we’ll see.  Quitting and scrambling for less money is still and option, so I haven’t lost anything…except that feeling of enormous relief when I decided to go.

Well.  I haven’t lost out until I give up on it.  All that’s changed is the time table.
